What is Sappy Travels?
Sappy Travels is an online booking and payment marketplace that connects travelers with independent local tour and transportation operators. Operators are vetted for quality, licensing, and insurance and provide the booked experience; Sappy supports discovery, reservations, and online payment.
How does booking work?
Choose a city and date, review available tours and vehicles, select an operator's listing, and enter your trip and contact details. The deposit percentage and amount are shown before you pay. The system default is 25%, but an operator or vehicle may set a different amount; the remaining balance follows the booking terms.
How much does a private tour cost?
Current active listings from approved operators start at $100 per hour for sedans, $99 per hour for SUVs, $150 per hour for vans, $150 per hour for a Tesla, $195 per hour for limousines, and $135 per hour for buses and coaches. These are the lowest published rates checked on October 16, 2026, not guaranteed prices for every vehicle or city. The exact vehicle rate and minimum hours appear on its listing and in the booking summary; a 3% service fee is shown separately in the trip summary.

Availability changes as approved operators and active vehicles change, so check the city page for current listings.
What vehicles are available?
Depending on the city, date, and operator, listings can include sedans, SUVs, vans, limousines, and buses or coaches. Exact vehicle models and capacities vary by listing. Each vehicle listing shows its hourly price and minimum booking duration.
How do airport transfers work?
Choose an airport route, travel details, and an available operator listing; the quoted price is shown before payment. The airport information currently describes flight tracking at IAD and DCA and meet-and-greet availability at IAD. These features depend on the operator and listing. We could not verify one universal fixed fare for IAD, DCA, and BWI, so confirm the price and included services for your specific booking.
What is the cancellation policy?
The advance deposit is non-refundable. Any refund of the remaining balance depends on the policy shown on the specific tour page. No-shows or cancellations after the service provider has departed are not refunded. Where a remaining-balance refund applies, it is processed to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days.
